my cute boy

took Gabe to the doctor a few days ago for his 6 week checkup. He is 8 lbs. 7 oz. and 21 1/2 inches long. We love him to pieces. Here are some fun pics we've taken throughout the weeks.

Great-Grandma Harvey. Once a mom...always a mom.

Great-Grandma Lloyd is so cute..she loves to chat with him.

He is happy here I promise :)

Heather Pedersen gave him this sweet dino-outfit. It finally fits! (6 weeks old)
"Papa" and Gabe staying warm while everyone else is out sledding.

This kid is a hoot...

He loves hangin with Daddy!

Great-Grandpa Harvey

Such a good uncle. Gabe loves Jaden!

Uncle Nick on his birthday came to meet Gabe for the first time. (Jan. 10th)

He was totally filling his diaper at this exact moment.

Oh how I love when he sleeps.

Holding him

I can't help but love holding Gabe while he sleeps. Even though my arm and back muscles ache and cramp, he is just too sweet and precious to let go. I love studying his tiny features and watching him pull funny faces as he dreams. I can't believe how much he has already grown.... I am completely smitten.

little update on my little man.

We went to the doctor yesterday for our 2 week checkup. Gabe has grown over an inch and gained almost 1 lb since we left the hospital. He's a healthy boy and a good eater, that's for sure. Also, last week my friend Kayli came with her amazing skills and took some awesome pics of my little boy. Thanks Kayli! I love them!

sleep

I just wanted to blog about my little baby boy. Man... he is cute. Last night was our best night yet. Josh put him down somewhere between 11:00 and midnight and I didn't have to get up to feed him till 2:40. The better part about that time is that Gabe fell asleep for maybe an hour before Josh put him down. So nice! I put him back down at 3:25 and he woke up about 5:20 to eat again. That is usually about the normal sleep-between-feeding. I put him down about 6:00 and I am blogging to you right now that he is still asleep and it is 9:15. I'm sure not many of you care about this, but for me it means a little more sleep equals a little-less-grumpy mom. Really he is the cutest boy and I can't get enough of him. I hope he stays healthy through this winter season and cold-season. If you have a cold, please don't come to my house. You can come when you are completely healthy. :) Anyway, here is a cute picture of my little Gabe taking a nap with daddy.

quick post... Gabriel finally came! He was born on Friday, January 7th at 2:58 pm. He was born 6lbs 3 oz. and 18inches long. He decided that he was ready and I only pushed for 12 minutes! Thank you for not being a long labor... I love my baby for that. He is healthy and beautiful and has both mommy and daddy's hearts wrapped around his little finger. Sorry this is just a short update but I thought I'd let anyone who follows our blog know. We love him sooo much.

hiccups

Almost every night my baby gets the hiccups. At first I thought it was pretty cute...and sometimes it still is, like when little kids want to feel the baby. But when I'm trying to sleep it gets a little old. How can a baby who is not breathing air get the hiccups? I dunno. At least I know he's still doing good in the oven. :)

35 weeks

Josh did such a great job painting our nursery. I painted the easy stuff (big white walls where you just roll on the paint) and Josh did the argyle wall. It turned out great!

I'm at 35 weeks.. i feel so ridiculously huge but I'm pretty lucky that my pregnancy has gone so great so far. 5 weeks left (or so the doctor guesses) till we get to bring home our little baby boy and let him try out his new room.... and I get to start feeling less large. yay!
