Here is Sadie helping Josh drive home from Brigham City

Her first day home. This is when she was excited and jumping around.

Always wants to be sleeping where I am. She is good about going to bed in her kennel at night.
I just wanted to show off our new addition to the family. First off, Josh and I went to the doctor to find out whether we are having a boy or a girl... :) I'll post later about that. Then we went up to Brigham City to see two different dogs (both of which I found on KSL). One was an adorable Maltipoo puppy, about 9 weeks old. The other was a 5 year old female purebred boxer. I never thought I would pick a 5 year old dog over an adorable puppy, but she was so cute and I think she fits right in with our little family. Her name is Sadie Sue. She has a lot of training to work on, but so far she is pretty good.
The first day we got her I dropped her off at home and had to run to work for a couple hours. Josh came home to her first mess... she went through the pantry and pulled out bags of rice as well as a bag or marshmallows of which she consumed. I think she had a stomach ache the first night. The third day having her (Thursday the 26th) she snagged an entire loaf of bread off of the counter and ate the whole thing while I was at work. (Josh is out of town this week so I have her all to myself this first week having her.) She also decided something smelled good in our garbage-can and decided to sort through that. And to top it off, she left me a nice little wet spot on the carpet. So much for the 5 year old part huh?
She is not all bad, in fact most of the time she just steals my heart completely . She loves to give kisses and sit right on/next to me, and she loves to be in whatever room I am in even if I am just taking my pregnant nap of the day. She does this cute hop/bounce springy jump when she is excited to see me or knows we are going for a walk... and she loves to cuddle with me. Luckily she is a small boxer or I would be in trouble. We are having a lot of fun getting to know each other and I definitely enjoy the company since my husband is traveling. I'm sure there will be more fun to come with sweet Sadie.
p.s. I gave our two adorable cats, Kramer and Lucy, to my sister who lives on a ton of land. Lucy had cute kittens and Kramer found a new home at my sister's Mother-in-Law's house. They are actually very happy there and I am relieved that they are doing so well and (I think) in a happier place.
