i haven't posted in a VERY long time.  Shame shame.  But i thought I better throw up a few pics of my sweet kids.  it's crazy that we have 2 now.  It's amazing how much love you can feel for your children.  It's like nothing else in the world.  anyway... here they are.  Love them.

no more binky

This is a little post so that I can look back and remember.

My little boy gave up bottles a couple months ago.. no sweat. Of course the sippy cup is an easy replacement.  He never was really attached to his bottle, so this actually was not much of a milestone.  BUT...  two weeks ago we cut out the binky.  That was a little bit harder but really, he has been a champ!  He cried for MAYBE 10 minutes before falling asleep for the first few nights, and naptime takes a bit longer to fall asleep.  Honestly.... a champ.  I wanted to make sure that the binky was LONG gone before the next baby comes.  We are on track! 

Next milestone... while Josh and I were on our cruise my parents had Gabe and I'm pretty sure my mom was determined to have him walking before we came home.  He's a stubborn kid... and she got him to take a few steps, but not walking.  When we came home we kept practicing with him and he's getting there!  He won't walk on his own if he wants to get somewhere fast, or if it's his choice... but if we encourage him and get him going he walks awesome!! He's growing up so fast.  Love him.

We flew to Atlanta and into Florida Friday day...are at the hotel that night and hit the sac. Long day of traveling! Saturday morning we slept in, ate breakfast (I even got in a little exercise session) and packed up to check out. A bunch of us took a little trip over to walgreens with  grandpapa to get some snacks, and came back with a whole lot more.  Each couple got a sonicare electric toothbrush... Thanks captain! We had quite an adventure there, spending over $1000 together! We are starting this trip out right! So fun. We are headed to get on board. More blogs to come!

just a little blog for myself

This post is for me.. when i look back.  Just to remember.

We are leaving on a cruise in less than 4 days.  We fly out Friday morning at 11:00 am into Florida. We (all the married grandkids and Grammy and Grandpapa) will stay overnight and then board our cruise ship Saturday afternoon.  Bahamas....here we come!  I'm SOO excited.  It'll be so nice to have a vacation and not have to worry about changing diapers, figuring out what to feed my little munchkin, walking my dog, laundry... etc.  At the same time I'm a little bit anxious.  I get anxiety just thinking of leaving Gabe for over a week!  We leave Friday morning and won't be back till Saturday night, that next week!!  Yes, I have been away from him overnight before.  A few times actually.  But for almost 9 entire days?  yikes.   Anxiety.

It's amazing how much love you feel for your kid(s).  Unreal actually. I'm going to miss him.

BUT... I think this trip will be amazing for Josh and me.... to be able to act like we are dating again.  To have fun together and focus on each other.  To relax and probably gain a bunch of weight (not just pregnancy weight for me).  Get a little sun and rejuvenate our spirits, and be ready for a new chapter.  Having 2 kids is exciting but I am pretty scared.   I really can't wait to meet this little girl.

As of today I am 21 weeks and 1 day along.  I feel her move quite often and see a little movement every once in awhile.  I've gained about 8 pounds and my belly button is starting it's emerge.  I've been feeling pretty great and am trying to make it throughout the day with my anti-nausea pill.  Last week I went 5 out of 7! Woo!  But I threw up this morning so this week isn't starting as great as the last.  oh well.  It's pregnancy.

Back to the cruise... Grammy and Grandpapa decided to take their married grand kids... all 5 couples! There are 3 couples from the Sorensen family and 2 from the Harmer.  Jessica and Paul, Josh and me, Janessa (27 weeks pregnant) and Jason, Howie and Amber, and Brooke and Jace.  6 couples including the grandparents... all expenses paid (WOW!) headed on a week long cruise the the Bahamas.   It's going to be a trip to remember.  Thanks Grammy and Captain (Grandpapa)... what a gift.  

Gabe... please be good for Grandma and Grandpa (Lloyd) and don't grow up too much in the week that we are gone.  I love you so much and I can't wait to be back with you.  Silly that I'm so emotional and I haven't even left him yet.  You and Josh are my everything.... so I promise I'll think of you everyday and miss you way more than necessary.  Daddy and I love you.

I'm about 19 weeks pregnant and this is my first blog about it..  shows you how on top of blogging I am.  We found out this morning that we are expecting a little baby...

German pancake attempt

This morning we made German pancakes and well... They turned out odd looking.  BUT they were yummy.  Even Gabe liked them.
